I spent my childhood on Cape Cod and worked as a cook through college as I pursued a degree in Cultural Anthropology. I went to the University of Edinburgh for a Masters in International Relations and then I sort of became sidetracked traveling working around the world. I spent time in Southeast Asia, West Africa and Cyprus before finding myself working as a project manager in the jungles of Nepal where I canoed or rode a dirt bike to work everyday. I guess you could say that I loved the project side of thigs and not so much the management side of things. I moved to Finland in 2016. I fell in love with the nature here and I became a certified guide in 2018. I have worked as a full time guide across Finland ever since!

I hold advanced first aid certifications, I am a certified EPP3 Paddler and a member of the Finnish Survival Guild.

I am an avid hunter, fisherman, snowmobiler, canoeist and I love to cook. I started Two Pines Outdoors out of a passion for the wild and a desire to share the wilderness skills that I have built over my years working as a professional outdoorsman. I welcome you to come on one of our trips or contact me to build your own perfect excursion!
